This was a busy week!
Anyone with kids in school (or in school themselves) knows that May is ridiculous with things going on. This week, Natalie finished her QUEST (creatively gifted children’s program) project:
and then had her in-class presentation of the project:
In between all that, we had to take her shoe shopping for an event later in the week. She has finally learned that cute school shoes don’t = comfortable running shoes. It was a surreal moment to realize she can now shop in the women’s shoes.
Also that week, Sydney had her first grade play.
I did an insert because the week couldn’t be contained into just a 2 page spread. I had forgotten that Monday was a no school day and scheduled myself 3 doctor appts, so the girls had to go along with me … but they got lunch out of it!
The back of the insert covers Natalie’s field trip (Friday) and then the Chuy’s run the girls did Saturday with our family friends. The field trip was to see Pioneer Days. My husband and I both went and enjoyed it ourselves. We took Nat and her best friend home in our car and then after school they got to go to a movie with her best friend’s dad (also happens to be a teacher at their school).
Back to the main layout:
So, like I said … busy week. I had a second insert as well:
<whew> Documenting it was almost as tiring as going thru it! This is my second PL post for tonight – scroll on down to see the first one. I will link up with The Mom Creative. I am now 3 weeks closer to be caught up – yay me!
